Rudy Trebels - CEO
Rudy Trebels is the CEO and a founder of Wedgewood Investment Group, LLC, headquartered in Northfield, Illinois. Rudy Trebels has spent more than four decades as an innovator in the U.S. real estate and finance industries. He has completed more than $1 billion in transactions serving more than 100 lenders and investors. Rudy graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa in business. He is a major benefactor to the campus and has served on the Drake University Board of Trustees since 2007. Rudy is also a major contributor to Boys Hope Girls Hope of Illinois where Rudy has actively served on the Board of Governors for 20 years. Rudy and his wife Lee have received the "Heart of Gold Award", a much-envied humanitarian award from Boys Hope Girls Hope of Illinois that is given to an elite corps of donors for extraordinary leadership and contributions to the challenging mission of this remarkable foundation.
Douglas Metz - Managing Director
Doug is a seasoned executive in asset-based lending as well as all facets of equity funding. He has assisted in receivable, leasing, mortgage, automotive and securitizations with over $500M of debt and equity financed throughout his career. Recently, Doug consulted to a powerline transmission company raising more than $75M of debt and equity. Doug was a member of the founding team to establish the first venture leasing company in the country, Equitec Leasing Company. Doug served three tours in Vietnam with the U.S. Navy where he was awarded The Navy Achievement Award, one of their highest honors for leadership. Doug attended the University of Missouri.
Griffin Eaton - Managing Director
Griffin comes to Wedgewood Investment Group having spent the last five years running his own commercial real estate consultancy in New York City, Palm Beach, and Milwaukee. Griffin is an experienced real estate and investments professional, with strong institutional-level underwriting, ownership, and asset management experience within the office, retail, industrial, hospitality, multifamily, and land sub-sectors of the market. He specializes in identifying, quantifying, underwriting, and mitigating risk. Prior to running his own firm, Griffin spent the first ten years of his real estate career at Pearson Partners and Pearson Realty Services in New York City. Prior to Pearson, Griffin worked on Wall Street for the equity sales groups of JP Morgan and Bear Stearns. Griffin achieved a B.A. in English Literature from the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Griffin has previously held the Series 7 and Series 65 licenses, was a licensed Assistant Appraiser in the State of New York, and is currently working toward his CCIM designation.
Jeff M. Galus - Vice President of Credit and Syndications
Jeff handles credit risk analysis, underwriting, and syndication. He is a seasoned financial expert with established credit and underwriting experience from the commercial banking industry. Jeff is particularly adept at crafting sound financing and equity proposals for a wide variety of financing vehicles, and is accomplished in quickly preparing reliable data for potential customers, prospects, lenders and investors. Jeff has a B.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder.
Brian Trebels - Member
During his 15+ year career in the finance industry, Brian has completed more than $250M in finance transactions. As a finance executive, Brian has specialized knowledge in structuring, compliance, documentation and funding. Brian studied Business at Drake University. He is an active member of ELFA, NAELB and Vistage.
Seacel Jin - Sr. Financial Analyst & Health Care Portfolio Manager
Seacel was born and raised in Bloomingdale, Illinois where she still resides today. She attended Michigan State University on a full academic scholarship, graduating with honors in Finance and International Business. Seacel began her financial career in 2007 with BMO Capital Markets within their investment and corporate banking divisions in Chicago. For more than 8 years, she has been a Senior Portfolio Manager in the Commercial Lending Division at FirstMerit Bank and First Midwest Bank, of which both positions carried a core focus in the senior living - healthcare sector. In 2016, Seacel joined Wedgewood Investment Group where she collaborates with deal originators to evaluate and prepare investor prospectus'. During her free time, Seacel spends a considerable amount of time as the Public Relations Director and as a performer with Yellow River Performing Arts Group, a non-profit group dedicated to bringing cultural awareness of China's rich culture through music and dance. She also volunteers with Michigan State University's Financial Management Institute, where she mentors students who are interested in pursuing a career in the financial industry.
